Whisperings through Tears

A partnerless dance across the floor -
I bow to my shame and I give it one more
Waltz through the room and back here again.
I fall on my knees and I forget to pretend
You should be mine, by my side -
Who did I think I was fooling?
All my life, with the lies
That you would have room enough for me.

The tears fall again....
And they cry,
"Look at the rain. Can you feel my sorrow;
Can you feel my pain?
When does it stop, when does it end?
When does my heart have a chance to heal up again?"

I give my fingers a dance across these strings,
As I sit here and imagine you listening to me.
A wrong note is struck; the dream is gone.
It packed it's bags, headed out, and took you along.
What did I do wrong, to push you along
And far away from me?
Did I say the wrong words - words that did hurt?
Should I have even put you in my dreams?

The tears fall again....
And they cry,
"Look at the rain. Can you feel my sorrow;
Can you feel my pain?
When does it stop, when does it end?
When does my heart have a chance to heal up again?"

My tears fall, I fall
Far into oblivion.
It is my fault
Oh, God when will the healing begin?
When will it be time,
to put her chapter behind -
To put her chapter behind the back of my mind?

I really like this version. It seems to be better than the original.
I wrote this song because when I was younger, I thought this one girl was the girl for me. She did not feel the same way that I felt for her, so I was hurt. But God showed me that I made plans with her, and I never really heard Him right about her being for me. So, as a result, I wrote this song to say basicly a plea to have God take the pain away (which, he has).

why does it seem that after you break up with somebody...love doesn't make tons of sense...but it makes a little more than it did before? i love this song too. why are you so good at this?! you're alias scares me a tad, but thats alright, its worth the lyrics. again, you got music? you could teach me what to play and then we can have a garage band...yeah...or ...a theater band...yeah!! *rock on*
much love!

I have no idea what it is like to be in a relationship. The furthest I have gone is liking someone and having them not like me back! Don't ask me why do I write so good. It wasn't until about a year ago I was able to really sit down and write lyrics that make sense. As for music, I am currently out for these two songs. But I am working on it. More news ahead.
